A beautifully refurbished pair of Stag Minstrel bedsides, designed by John and Sylvia Reid and inspired by Scandinavian design. As pioneers of British mid-century modern furniture in the 1970s, Stag created pieces that are both practical and enduring—qualities that make the Minstrel range so popular once again today.

These bedsides are slightly taller and narrower than many vintage designs, making them ideal for modern homes where beds are often higher and space is at a premium. Despite their compact footprint, they offer excellent functionality, with two drawers, an open cubby (perfect for books), and a pull-out shelf—ideal for that morning cup of tea.
Each piece is professionally prepared and hand-painted in our workshop. We thoroughly check every item, carry out any necessary repairs, and ensure drawers run smoothly before carefully preparing the surface. The finish is built up with primer and multiple top coats for a durable, long-lasting result.
Finished here in ‘Champion Cobalt’ by Benjamin Moore, a bold, vibrant blue that adds a confident pop of colour while still sitting beautifully within a mid-century scheme. The pull-out shelf is painted to match, creating a cohesive and striking finish throughout.
The original Stag brass handles have been cleaned and polished, providing a warm contrast against the rich cobalt tone.
