A beautifully proportioned Stag Minstrel chest of drawers, professionally refinished in Onyx by Benjamin Moore and finished with statement large antique brass oval handles, adding a more traditional, characterful feel against the deep black finish.
Designed by John and Sylvia Reid, the Minstrel range is celebrated for its simple, functional lines inspired by Scandinavian design. Produced in the 1960s–70s, these pieces are a hallmark of British mid-century furniture — well made, practical, and increasingly sought after.
This chest offers excellent storage in a compact footprint, making it ideal as a bedside, nightstand or standalone piece within a bedroom or living space. One of the key benefits of the Minstrel range is its versatility — we hold a large stock of original pieces, allowing us to create coordinated sets if required.
Each piece is carefully prepared in the Roosters Workshop:
• Thoroughly checked and repaired where necessary
• Drawers adjusted to ensure smooth running
• Fully cleaned, sanded and primed
• Finished with a minimum of two durable top coats
All work is carried out by a professional painter and decorator using premium products, ensuring a long-lasting, high-quality finish.
