The simple clean lines of these chests were designed by John and Sylvia Reid for Stag as part of the Minstrel range. Inspired by Scandinavian Designers they were pioneers of British MCM furniture in the 1970’s. This Minstrel range of furniture is currently having a resurgence of popularity. Built to last, practical and now professionally painted we love that vintage furniture doesn’t have to be a one off and we can produce sets of matching furniture. We are able to paint other Stag Minstrel pieces from stock, please message your requirements.
All our painted vintage furniture is throughly checked, treated for woodworm as a precaution, repaired where necessary. We then ensure the drawers all run smoothly. We do not take any shortcuts with prep. We clean, sand, prime and apply a minimum of two top coats. All work is undertaken in our workshop by a professional time served painter and decorator. We only use premium products to ensure a long lasting and durable finish.
The colour of these was created by us in house and named ‘Rooster Blue’
We have added new copper cup handles to compliment the blue.
