A striking English Arts & Crafts armchair dating from the late 19th century, crafted in solid oak with beautifully turned barley twist supports and stretchers. The chair features a slatted back with bergère cane back panel and matching cane seat, both professionally re-caned and presented in excellent condition.

The generous proportions and wide arms make this an ideal library or occasional chair, equally at home in a period interior or contemporary country house setting. The rich, mellow patina and quality craftsmanship give it wonderful decorative appeal.
