Solid Elm & Beech | Original Dark Finish | Very Good Condition

A beautifully made and undeniably Ercol three-tier serving trolley in its original rich dark finish.
Although the paper label is no longer present, the construction and design details are unmistakable — the flowing grain of the solid elm shelves, softly sculpted tray edges, elegant turned beech supports and gently curved retaining rails all point clearly to classic mid-century Ercol craftsmanship.

Ercol traditionally used solid elm for the tops and shelves, prized for its strength and distinctive grain pattern, paired with solid beech for the legs and supports for stability and durability. The combination gives that wonderful warmth and quiet quality that Ercol pieces are known for.
This example is in very good condition, with a rich, even tone and only minimal age-related wear. It has been carefully cleaned and revived in the Roosters workshop to enhance the depth of colour while preserving its original character.
