This pretty antique pine chest is perfect for a cottage bedroom. Beautifully proportioned. We have added new tulip legs, painted her and retained the original ceramic handles.

We have painted this in ‘Borrowed Light’ an illuminating pale blue.

There are just a few historical worm holes to the interior, we found a note to the back of the drawer to say it had been treated in 1988! (We treated it again anyway!)

There are some glaze cracking on some of the handles which add to the character, we have positioned the best to the top drawers.

All our painted vintage furniture is throughly checked, treated for woodworm as a precaution, repaired where necessary, we then ensure the drawers all run smoothly before cleaning, sanding, priming and applying a minimum of two top coats in our workshop by a professional painter and decorator. This piece has been painted in colour matching Farrow and Ball ‘Borrowed Light’ manufactured by Victory Colours. This paint is cruelty free, vegan, ultra low VOCs with exceptionally low odour and is highly durable.
