Antique Pine Farmhouse Cupboard / Rustic Pantry Cabinet
A charming antique pine cupboard dating from the late Victorian to early Edwardian period, around 1890–1910. With its simple panelled door, warm honey-toned pine and beautifully rustic boarded interior, this is a wonderfully characterful piece of traditional country furniture.
The cupboard opens to reveal generous internal storage with three fixed shelves, making it ideal as a pantry cupboard, kitchen storage cabinet, linen cupboard or hallway storage.
The interior retains its original vertical boarding, giving the piece that authentic rustic farmhouse feel that works so beautifully in cottage interiors.
The timber has developed a lovely aged patina over time and has recently been cleaned and nourished with Briwax in the Roosters Furniture workshop, enhancing the natural grain and warmth of the pine.
There is evidence of historical woodworm to one side of the cupboard, typical of antique pine furniture. This is old and has been treated. The cupboard is solid and structurally sound.
The lock is no longer present, however the door closes well with the small catch.
At some point in its long life the base has been replaced, although this is only visible if the cupboard is turned upside down and does not affect the appearance or use of the piece and adds to its authenticity.
A lovely, practical antique cupboard which would sit beautifully in a country kitchen, pantry, hallway, utility room or cottage interior.

Good antique condition with age-related wear consistent with its age. Evidence of historical worm to one side of the cupboard. Newly waxed and ready for use.
