Vintage Ercol Child’s Rocking Chair – Model 428 – Dark Wood Finish
A beautifully made vintage Ercol small rocking chair, model number 428 (as documented in Ercol Furniture by Lesley Jackson). A classic and highly recognisable design, valued for its elegant proportions and enduring craftsmanship.
Crafted from solid wood and finished in a rich, dark stain, this chair features Ercol’s signature spindle back, shaped arms and gently curved rockers. Perfectly scaled for a child, small adult or as a decorative accent in a mid-century or vintage interior.
The chair is in very good vintage condition, showing very light, age-related wear consistent with its years, adding warmth and authenticity. Structurally sound, clean, and with a smooth rocking action.
A genuine Ercol design with documented provenance — increasingly sought after and hard to find. The blue Ercol sticker is insitu sating the chair between 1957 and the mid 70's.
