Antique Mahogany Console / Hall Table with Drawer
Late Victorian period, circa 1895–1905
A beautifully proportioned late Victorian mahogany hall table, featuring elegant turned legs and a single full-width drawer, finished in a rich, warm tone that highlights the natural grain of this quality hardwood.
The combination of swan-neck brass handles, ring-turned legs, and the overall proportions are all characteristic of the late Victorian era, placing this piece confidently around the turn of the 20th century (c.1895–1905).
Originally intended for a hallway, this versatile table works just as well as a sofa table, console table, writing desk or bedroom table, offering practical storage without dominating a space.
The drawer retains its original brass handles, and the table is solid and sturdy throughout. The top shows gentle age-related marks and patina, which add character and authenticity rather than detract. I believe from experience this may have been refurbished at some point in its history.
A timeless, usable antique that suits both traditional interiors and more relaxed, eclectic homes.
