A vintage pine trunk with a domed top.

Why we love this piece…. We love that the domed top has a flat centre, so could easily be used as a coffee table.

Made from solid pine throughout, this is a very sturdy piece of furniture. I think it probably originated in Europe, as it has slightly more finesse than the rustic British ones we see, the handles and escutcheon are just a little prettier!

In terms of condition, this is probably one on the cleanest trunks we have ever had in! The interior especially, shows little signs of use, there are no odours and it is ready to be used. We have given it a coat of briwax to preserve it for the future. As is often the case with old pine, there is a small amount of historical woodworm to the bottom of one side, we have treated this as a precaution.

A versatile piece of furniture, which could easily be used in just about any room of the house! Use it in a country sitting room as a coffee table, in a playroom for toys or in a bedroom for storing linens.
