English, circa 1900–1910

A beautifully timeworn pair of Edwardian ladder-back dining chairs, dating to the early 20th century.

With their gently curved rails, warm honeyed tone and traditional hand-caned seats, these chairs have that effortless, collected-over-time feel that only true antiques bring. Their proportions are light and simple — very typical of the Edwardian move away from heavier Victorian styles.

The seats are hand-caned and remain tight and supportive. The frames are solid and sturdy, yet these are lighter-weight chairs rather than heavy farmhouse types — easy to move and practical for everyday living.

They would work wonderfully in:
– A relaxed country kitchen
– A cottage or period home
– A modern space needing warmth and texture
– Mixed around a table with other antique pieces

These are genuine Edwardian chairs with all the gentle signs of age you would hope to see — surface wear, small historic blemishes and a soft patina built over more than a century.
